Canberra Pregnancy Photography ::
Maternity sessions take place in my home studio or in an outdoor location. My studio is set up for newborns and is quite cosy. For this reason i only hold mini maternity sessions in there. If you have a comfortable outfit that you would like to wear please feel free to bring it with you. Neutral tones like cream and white work best in the soft colours of my studio. I usually wrap fabric around my maternity clients as a skirt to shows off your beautiful belly. You can either use your hands to cover your breasts or wear a strapless top folded over belly or something you may have at home… preferably in white. I ask you wear skin coloured underwear so that i doesn’t show up through the fabric. I am happy to do some nude pregnancy photos if you request. It is up to you how covered you are for this session.
I completely understand that having your portrait taking at such an intimate moment in your like, can be a nerve-racking experience so I try to make you as relaxed as possible. I usually direct the session as we go, but encourage you to mention any specific poses you would like to try.
Partners are welcome to participate in the session- but this choice is completely up to you!!
