6/31 photo-a-day challenge

Today was a FUN day for the kids. Oma and Opa (from Melbourne- who currently live in the Middle East) came up to help celebrate Caleb’s birthday in two days!!!!! Oh and my kids ADORE their apples… both of them are clutching them in each photo!!

Today was SO hot and Madison was a tad crankY. She had a few extra feeds thoughout the day, and this is after one of those on her way to see Oma!

Extra photo of Caleb i like:

A note for the Photogs out there… it was very hot today so all blinds were pretty much closed. There was barely any light at all. This challenge is really working at getting me out of my comfort zone. These shots were approx 1/100, f/2.8 and ISO of 800-1000. I am so please at how little noise i got, when usually at that ISO its shocking. Anyway… just wanted to share that tidbit!

Lauren - Hey Danielle, what camera are you using, to get such low noise? I have the 40D, and have had terrible noise problems….. The 5D mkII is on the wish list!January 7, 2009 – 6:50 am

Kristen Cook - Oh wow, look at C’s eyes in that last one!! Amazing xJanuary 7, 2009 – 9:24 pm

5/31- photo a day challenge

WOW.. What a stinking hot day today in Sydney. I was in no mood for photography, but i am determined to finish through to the 31st day.

Caleb is ALWAYS in his undies only. He loves being in the bare this one!! This is usually how he spends his afternoons.. driving cars around and around.

Madison slept thought lunch today, so had a late bite to eat before we went out in the afternoon. She is such a character these days!!!!! Always pulling different crazy faces.

I have updated my featured client gallery on my website to Allegra and Serephina’s session. Go to My Website then click on galleries and its the last one! Please check it out!

Till tomorrow,
D

day four | Sydney Children’s Photographer

Caleb is getting so picky with his clothing these days., I thought boys weren’t supposed to care!!!! He dressed himself today and was so proud!! Oh and spiderman still makes the occasional appearance!

Well it was bedtime today for the princess. Usually she goes down without a fuss. Today i had to get a photo, so left the blinds open. She was NOT impressed with going to bed with the sun still up!!! Once i closed them, all was well in the world. Today she has been talking so much its crazy. Blows us away!!!!

I have been meaning to get this photo for ages. Madison’s entry into this world was rather rocky to say the least!! Not sure if this is related but she has a prolapsed belly button. It is really just a flap. She is needing to get surgery in the next few years to correct it. I love it just how it is and cannot stop kissing her fat tum!!

sam pearce - I’m loving your Jan challenge photos Danni. I love how we get to see a bit more about everyone’s lives and children. I didn’t know that Madison had a rough start, I think her little belly button is cute. Sabrinah was born with a big round ball on the side of her ear, I was only showing her the photo the other day. She had it removed. Our girls are doing things their way from the start :) January 5, 2009 – 12:37 am

Narrelle McCrum - Your two sound JUST like ours.
M is so beautiful – she looks so much like you!January 5, 2009 – 8:11 am

day three | Sydney Children’s Photographer

Today we had the grandparents over!!! Great Grandma brought the trampoline for the kids for Christmas. She had to come and check it out and watch them in action!! At 81 years old, she managed to get up there and have a jump too!!!!

Madison is always right by my side. She loves to help me take in the washing. It is sweet, although it takes three times as long! hehe.

Another personal project i am doing is a self portrait one. I am taking a photo of myself for 52 weeks. It is so hard to be on the other side of the camera, but I have to learn to do this more often for my kids to look back on… Hopefully at the end of the 52 weeks, i won’t take up as much of that bed! hehe

2/31 | photo-a-day challenge

Today was a quiet one. I had a fair bit of work to get done, and it was rather cool and overcast.. so we just stayed at home. Caleb was being quite nice to his sister today!!! Here he is giving her a kiss!!!! Awwww!!!

Miss Madison adores cooking for us!!! This was taken after she was bathed and ready for bed. Second photo is her throwing a tantrum!!!!! She is still breastfeeding when she wakes and just before bed. Here she was wanting a feed, and i was refusing as i had some photos to take!!! Mean Mummy!!!!!

day one | Sydney Children’s Photographer

1/31 | photo-a-day challenge

We bought Rob a Wii for Christmas. Caleb adores watching Daddy play Mario Cart. He grabs the spare wheel and thinks he’s driving!!! It’s very sweet although i’m sure Rob tires of Caleb’s constant questions after five minutes!

Whilst I was taking Caleb’s photos, Miss Madison had to try and steal the show as usual. She was out the back playing with the cars- or so we thought. Next thing we know she had gone down the side of the house and smooshed her face against the glass. She looks like a piglet- don’t you think?!! Ahhh a face only a mumma would love! hehe.

Ok.. day one passed. Lets hope i can keep this up!!!:)

Farewell 2008.

Happy New Year!!! I wish you all Peace & Love for 2009 xx

I’m currently giving my body a much needed rest, to be fresh and ready for 2009 by detoxing! Suffice to say, last night was a very quiet new years for Rob, the kids and I. We went out for dinner pretty early and caught the sunset on the way home. 2008 was a huge year for me- in both good ways, and bad. It was a beautiful moment to be sitting with Madison watching the sun go down. I feel very very refreshed in both my mind and body and am inspired and excited for what 2009 has in store for both my family and the business.

We are making our move up north- to Darwin in March. We will be based there until the end of 2010.

Here are some photos from yesterday. Caleb was sleeping, so unfortionately (or fortunately for him) he missed out on the photos. I am starting my personal challenge to take a photo of each of the kids each day in January today!! Please stay tuned for those photos.

Until next time,
D
