One of the kids’ favourite thing about the new house is all the “wishes” that pop up overnight in the back yard. Before Maddi learnt to keep her wish private, she used to announce to the neighbourhood ” I wish that i could never fight with my brother and me and mummy can be best friends forever with flowers”. Whilst that first wish unfortunately never came true.. i assure her the second one will forever and ever! She is a darling 🙂
Day at home today. The kids love playing the wii together. We have one broken remote so of course Caleb uses it. Here they are in the midst of a “Just Dance” battle. Who do you think won? 🙂
(Have to point out their outfits… Caleb in the jersey of his new fav team.. Raiders! Maddi in her new school shirt. Gotta love kids!)
As much as the nights get super cool in Canberra, Madison still has to go to bed in the nikki-noo-nah. I am sure by winter she will learn whats best! haha
Her ipad needed charging and so she took my phone to bed for a quick show before sleepy time!
Fifteen days in and Caleb is already completely OVER the camera. I am happy to respect his wishes but may try and get a trick shot of him for tomorrow.
Anyway being a six year old boy he is also not interested in shopping centres. Would much rather hang at home with Dad and do “man stuff”. Maddi and i hit Belconnon today armed with a cut out of Calebs foot to buy him some runners for school next year. I am so glad i got in early as the sports stores were full of people buying for back to school. If i left it any later i am sure they would have sold out of his size.
Of course Maddi and I had to venture into Witchery with her grabbing stuff of the racks like a teenager. We managed to get her a bunch of warmer clothes including what she is wearing in the photo (yellow skinny jeans and a mushroom cardi). The moment we got in she had to immediately change into her new clothes and show Dad!
(I love that she is pointing her toe like she learnt in Ballet! Didn’t notice until i was working on the image.. makes me smile!)
Getting ready for our daily bike ride!!
More bike practice today with a stop at a vacant block of land for a rest. Teaching two kids to ride without training wheels at once is hard work (well.. for my husband. I am too uncoordinated to actually be a help to them. I ride along on my own bike). They are getting good though. They both rode home the whole way unassisted! WIN!
