Towards the end of 2009, I had big decisions to make. I had well and truly outgrown my my current set up, and was needing to either make big changes or get a retail studio shopfront. As I have two young children, I felt I am not ready to work full time just yet… So i came to the decision I would rearrange the current studio and buy some more furniture as the final step towards a shopfront when the kids are both at school. In 2010 I will be continuing the hours I currently work. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9am to 5pm. The studio will continue to be used for Newborns, Babies and Maternity, and toddlers will be on location. During the wet season, we may need to schedule toddlers in the studio also- due to the wet and hot conditions outside at the moment.

I have to give a HUGE Thanks to my friend and Brisbane/Gold Coast photographer Danielle Hamilton . In Darwin we are quite limited in variety and she sourced the Curtains and a few other things from Brisbane for me… Thanks again Danielle!!! The couch also had quite a long journey from Vic. A labour of love this studio!!

Friends of ours Holly and Scott received the best Christmas present in the whole wide world. Their brand new baby girl arrived fashionably late just a few days shy of Christmas. She is just like a beautiful little doll and is already so very well loved and adored. She arrived for her photo shoot freshly bathed and smelt DIVINE.

It is almost the end of 2009. How on earth it has come around so fast I do not know!! As Christmas is approaching work is winding down. I am officially on leave as of December 21st.

This first year in Darwin has been amazing for my family and my business. I know i often say this, but i have really been blessed with the beautiful clients I have met this year.

As 2009 comes to a close, to celebrate the gorgeousness of my Darwin clients, I thought i’d hold my first ever blog competition!!

The client with the most votes will be receiving a beautiful 16×20″ canvas of a photo of their choosing from their session (valued at $530). What a beautiful big family I had the pleasure of meeting today, including siblings all the way from Ireland!! Just a quick sneak peek of these gorgeous kids!

This morning I had Rachel and John in to capture this precious time in thier lives. Looking forward to photographing your beautiful baby in a few weeks!!

This morning I was driving to my session in light rain. Not a good sign!! Luckily, shortly after we arrived the rain stopped for us. Thanks Darwin weather!

I had a beautiful family from NSW, holidaying in Darwin. A big HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY to Louise for next Thursday!!! Joining Luise was her little brother Lachlain at just eight weeks old.
